Upcoming Webinar on Enhancing Article 6 Implementation: Insights from Global Experts
The Climate Action Center of Excellence (CACE), in collaboration with HFW, is pleased to announce an upcoming webinar that will bring together leading experts in climate policy and finance to discuss the operationalization of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. Titled ‘Article 6 of the Paris Agreement: From Talk to Action’, the webinar aims to engage government officials and public sector stakeholders, offering them actionable insights and proven strategies to enhance their participation in Article 6 projects.
Scheduled for 14 May at 10 AM GMT, 1 PM Doha, and 8 PM Sydney, the webinar will feature insights from expert panelists on critical aspects of Article 6 implementation, from legal frameworks to financial strategies and on-the-ground experiences.
The webinar will cover a diverse range of topics, including contract standardization and international carbon credit transactions, approaches to overcome challenges in Article 6 implementation, Article 6 barriers and opportunities for the private sector, policy perspectives on Article 6 implementation, the interrelation between Article 6 and CORSIA, the potential of blended finance in supporting Article 6, and challenges associated with building an Article 6 projects pipeline. Alongside senior representatives from CACE, discussions at the webinar will be joined by seasoned climate experts from HFW, the Environmental Protection Agency of Ghana, the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA), and Harvard University.
Launched by the Gulf Organisation for Research & Development (GORD) at the 28th Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC (COP 28) in Dubai, CACE builds and supports Article 6 frameworks to accelerate the implementation of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. HFW, the London-based global law firm known for its expertise in carbon markets, is co-organizing the webinar.
