CACE Joins Global Capacity Building Coalition to Strengthen Global Climate Finance Expertise

The Climate Action Center of Excellence (CACE) announced this week it has joined the Global Capacity Building Coalition (GCBC), a network of over 50 leading organizations dedicated to advancing climate finance capacity-building worldwide. The coalition represents more than 5,000 public and private financial institutions, 160 financial centers and exchanges, and millions of finance professionals across nearly every country on Earth.
Dr. Yousef Alhorr, Founding Chairman of the Gulf Organisation for Research and Development (GORD), the parent organization of CACE, said that with this new partnership, CACE reaffirms its commitment to bridging knowledge gaps in climate finance and supporting international efforts to mobilize sustainable investments. “As the global transition to a low-carbon economy accelerates, such collaborations are critical in ensuring that all stakeholders have the necessary skills and tools to navigate the evolving financial landscape,” he said.
In a letter welcoming CACE to the coalition, the GCBC Secretariat emphasized the important role CACE can play in strengthening climate finance capacity-building:
“We are delighted to welcome The Climate Action Center of Excellence to the Global Capacity Building Coalition. Strengthening capacity building is critical to our efforts to unlock transition finance at scale so that we can help build economic growth and environmental resilience globally. Through collaboration with our members, we will improve access and availability of the resources and technical assistance required to achieve this collective goal.”
As part of its engagement with GCBC, CACE will contribute to the coalition’s efforts by sharing its expertise in climate finance, developing and disseminating learning resources, and promoting GCBC’s mission through its extensive network. A key component of this collaboration is CACE’s participation in GCBC’s newly launched Global Capacity Building Platform, a digital hub designed to provide essential educational materials and tools for financial professionals worldwide.
